Break Time Writing
I had to write an Observation paper for a writing class this week…this is what I cranked out in my break time:
I wake up, sweating beneath the thin bed sheet I had been provided, even though I know the fan above me is trying to pump whatever cool air it can find as it wobbles unsteadily on the ceiling.
Sometime during the night I must have set it to the highest setting, desperately trying...

The Motorcycle Diaries →
I finally watched this beautiful film, and I’m so glad I did. Our world is so full of amazing people and places…It’s incredible.
It a nice seven degrees outside…I think I’ll cuddle in a blanket, watch a Spanish film and read a book :)
Ambition, where art thou?
So lately, I’ve been struggling to keep up. Guess Costa Rica and Christmas break kinda put me in a super relaxed state so when the real world came back to greet me (jump out from behind a bush and scare the living crap out of me is more like it) I wasn’t at all prepared. And now, with school, my internship, a dwindling bank account and graduation quickly creeping into the picture,...

Scotland (photo heavy)
This is my next destination on my travel dream list. So pretty. Ana the Australian raved about it and so have several other people I’ve talked to.

New Semester
This is what I say to teachers who know plenty, but can’t seem to teach:

Australian Couch Surfers and Irish Beer
In Ireland, my europe travel buddy Katie and I met Ana the Australian. She, like most of the Australian’s I’ve met, was very laid back while at the same time ready to live life to the fullest by doing everything that could possibly be tested or accomplished by a human being. She was one of those traveler personalities that I kinda wish I could be. Fearless. Willing to try anything and...

A Real Life Fantasy
Going through blogs today and saw that one featured a picture of this majestic castle. I visited this fairy tale two years ago after I was told to go by my boyfriend of 2+ years and it has become one of my top of my favorite destinations. If you believe in fairy tales and want to see something that looks like it came directly from Walt Disney’s right side of the brain, this palace will...

With a little help from my friends
A shout out to the Beatles and to my friends who are amazing listeners, outstanding advice givers and spectacular sympathizers. My favorite form of advice came in the form of a text that I haven’t read in quite a long while…one that I want to live by but, like many others, I fail to do on a daily, weekly, monthly basis. I needed to hear from God more than ever it seems…so thank...
Quote of the Day
Some days, quotes seem to serve as the only advice or condolence one can find…today is one of those days.

I love movies
Every movie I see this guy (Michael Peña) in has been powerful and/or darn good! I think I should maybe start following the movies he chooses to be in because I’ve yet to see one that disappoints. I just watched The Lucky Ones (2008) tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Keep ‘em coming MP.
Crash (2004)
World Trade Center (2006)
Shooter (2007)

Love Your Winter
Winter is such an interesting time of year for me. I hate driving in the winter, day or night, because of the slippery roads, and yet I love slip-sliding around on a sled or ice skates. I hate that feeling of confinement to my house and not being able to go out without throwing on three extra layers, and yet I seem to be perfectly content watching three movies in a row, eating tortilla chips and...
